I decided to buy one from this dealer because I liked the all tubing frame. I could not find other trailers built with all tubing in GA. What i did not like is that i felt like I had to chase the dealer to make the purchase. Maybe they have plenty of business and don’t want any more money!!!
Ordered a 4′ by 8′ trailer with some additions, none really “custom”. One I wanted was a caster wheel on the front jack, and ordered the wheel when I ordered the trailer. Tried to attach the wheel when I got home, and the jack has a sand foot welded in place on the jack, no way to use the wheel. Contacted Colony and got, “Sorry but can’t use a caster wheel on your trailer”. So, why didn’t they tell me that when I ordered the trailer and why did they sell me the caster wheel? No offer to refund for the caster wheel, nothing but a weak “Sorry”. All I would buy from these characters is a bone stock trailer, because they don’t really know their product.

I was looking for a reasonably priced enclosed utility trailer that could be used to carry a full-size Harley Davidson. After reading the negative reviews on various trailer manufacturers and resellers, I was somewhat concerned about ordering and pre-paying for a trailer sight unseen. However, after working with a couple of south Georgia firms, Colony Cargo was the only reasonably priced trailer dealer I could find in that area that would agree to build a custom utility trailer with a low deck height and maximum height of 82” to allow for maximum interior headroom and still fit inside my garage. I ordered fully insulated with dual side doors and 16” spacing on all steel stiffeners. That is exactly what I received. When I picked up the trailer I was thrilled to find that it was exactly 82” high. Unlike some who have provided negative reviews I can not say that I’ve found a single thing wrong with the trailer. I ordered two LED inside lights and found them only marginally bright so I have added LED strip lights on both sides connected to the switches on the factory installed lights. I also went to Lowes and bought ¾” aluminum angle iron and added it to the edges of the plywood ramp door to prevent splintering when loading and unloading my motorcycle. We just returned from a 2000 mile plus trip with the trailer and it performed flawlessly. No water leaks, no electrical problems, no loose or misaligned components as sometimes reported by others. In addition to the custom height, LED lights and insulation I ordered the following extras: 16” framing spacing on walls and ceiling, extra set of LED tail lights (probably overkill because the LED lights provided are bright enough), and an extra side door on the drivers side to allow access when stored in my garage. After deliver, I painted the floor with non-skid pain, installed E-track, a motorcycle wheel chock, extra LED light strips, and a 110V receptacle to allow use of a battery tender when the motorcycle is stored inside the trailer at home. To supply power to the receptacle I installed a RV style male receptacle on the trailer tongue and routed conduit under the trailer. The male receptacle allows for powering the trailer using a standard extension cord. My next improvement will be to install RV style hooks and keepers on the side doors to allow them to be secured in the open position. In summary, working with the sales staff at Colony Cargo was completely painless and they were very willing to make changes after the order was placed but before fabrication started at no extra charge. I’ve had all brands from Feather light, to American Hauler. By far….this new 24ft is the best trailer with the best service I’ve ever had. Owner is a jerk! If you want an Arising trailer do your self a favor and buy from ANY DEALER other than colony!
