I rated the service a little low only because I’ve never had to have mine in for service. It looks nice and it tows well. I found trailers for less money but you could see they were not built as well.

+ PROS: quality construction, looks good, single piece roof
    - CONS: none I can think of

thinking of buying a wells cargo?????
save your money and get any other trailer not under
wells cargo or haulmark umbrella. they aren’t what they
used to be and their service is garbage. the largest
dealer here in Utah wont even order parts because its service
department is such a nightmare, therefore your on your own as it comes
down to repairs or service. Don’t say I didn’t warn you

The trailer has a nice appearance inside and out and tows nicely. After closer inspection the under frame and floor was not painted or undercoated as they advertised. When I contacted Wells Cargo they said they changed undercoating the floor 2 years ago and the frame is undercoated (the frame was not undercoated or painted where it was not visable from above). However their current web site at the time said floor and frame undercoated (False advertising you decide). They refused to correct the problem because they said I wasn’t the original owner of the trailer, it was a new 2017. This was obviously a manufacturing error but they wouldn’t correct it. Two weeks after this correspondence they completely changed their web site.

+ PROS: Great value and appearance and tows well.
    - CONS: No customer support for obvious manufacturing and advertising errors.

purchased a new all aluminum all sport 16′ to the square v nose trailer with black trim package, upon receiving the trailer in June of 2018 it was discovered to have a couple of large dents in the side panel and door, dealer said we could bring it back for repair but indicated that wells cargo was being bought out and they would have wait a few weeks for that to happen, dealer was also relocating to a new location and needed time for that to happen.
in the several weeks that fallowed i noticed the black trim started peeling and flaking off, (which the manufacturer new was a problem, was told to take the trailer to the dealer where it promptly went to the plant for repairs that would only take 4 days.
after a crap load of phone calls to corporate office and dealers and waiting for 2 weeks finally was told to come pick my trailer up. upon receiving it i discovered that only part of the black trim package had been replaced with silver, the nose of the trailer was black (suppose to be chrome) the silver trim was cut too short and left with sharp edges , where it was suppose to fallow the contour of the fenders it was cut square, it looked like junk that a 10 year old put together.
after verbal battle with production supervisor i returned the trailer back to Young Trailers where they went the extra mile to make it right and i left there with another trailer.( this might seem long but i did leave a lot of crap out too)
in short stay away from the American Trailer group trailers previously UTC (Well Cargo, Hallmark brands) there work is anything but good quality and very poor workmanship , there QC department ( if they have one )is real poor and conscienceless to say the least.
i have had several brands of snowmobile trailer in the past, Trails west Pace and the old Hallmark, NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE AN AMERICAN TRAILER GROUP PREVIOUSLY UTCG brand trailer JUNK! JUNK! JUNK!

This is a very nice trailer but Parts can be hard to get and the shipping is ridiculous, I paid twice as much for shipping as I did for the part. It was small enough to put in an envelope and throw a few stamps on it. Should have cost $3 not $16. They need to review their shipping policy. I also had to track down my own parts as they didn’t have them in stock and said it would be weeks. The company that had them was literally down the street and had plenty of them in stock. I got their name off the part thankfully as no one at Wells Cargo gave me any information. Thank God there is google and I could find them.

    + PROS: Great trailer

I bought a 2018 fast track 16′ enclosed in April of 2018. Within a week of use I noticed screws coming out of the exterior sheeting. I also noticed screws coming up out of the floor. The side door holder literally fell off on the drive home from the dealer the day I bought it. I took it back to Young Trailers where I bought it and they had me drop it off to their wells cargo service place to be fixed. All they did was replace one panel because the manufacturing plant had totally missed the wall stud to begin with.
They did not replace the side door holder. They also just replaced the other missing screws. After that I went about a month and started noticing screws coming out all over the exterior again. This time I contacted American Cargo Group to see what could be done. They seemed helpful at first. They had me drop my trailer off to the manufacturing plant where it was built. After a few days they emailed me and said they could not do anything because I had installed E-Track inside the trailer and claimed that it was causing the screws to come out. I installed the E-Track with bolts and Nylock nuts as well as used some flat bar on the back side of the wall stud to reinforce it.
The E-Track I installed made the walls a lot stronger so I makes no sense to me why they would blame the E-Track. The issue with the screws coming out is the fact that the steel being used for the Wall studs is way too thin to have screws hold at all.
I asked them to replace the screws with rivets and they said they would do that for a fee of $550. Why should I pay for their design flaw and poor quality? After 2 weeks of getting nowhere with them I went and picked my trailer up and took it home to fix myself.
Needless to say I owned that trailer for 7 months and sold it. I was so discouraged with the poor quality and horrible customer service. I went and bought a Charmac enclosed trailer and am beyond happy with how much better the trailer is built.
If you want a good quality enclosed trailer that will last you a life time then buy a Charmac!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY AMERICAN CARGO GROUP!
    THEY MANUFACTURE JUNK!!

    - CONS: Very poor quality!!

I’ve had 2 Wells Cargo trailers for years. I like the trailers and the quality is great…BUT…hope you never need any customer support from Wells Cargo because their customer service SUCKS!!!!!!! At least if you’re not a dealer! I left several messages for “Matt” in their retail customer support department, and not a single return phone call! Total waste of time! Next time, I’ll find another brand and do business with a company who cares about their customers!

  9. Been having a heck of a time getting American Cargo Group (they own Wells Cargo and Haulmark) to stand behind their trailer.

My 2020 6×12 has been driven only ~1300 miles, and has been sitting in my driveway rusting further as I wait for American Cargo Group to stand behind their product.

I contacted the dealer about warranty, they passed me to the manufacturer. Wells Cargo has offered to have Por-15 painted over the currently rusted areas, but the dealer to which they referred me declined to do the work because they felt it was an insufficient repair and did not want to be liable for future problems. Alternatively, ACG said I could deliver/ship (at my “out-of-pocket” cost) it back to the factory in Ogden UT for them to do it.

It has been almost a week since the dealer informed ACG that they would not do the repair for the reasons posted above. I’ve still not heard from ACG. Crickets.

Let’s hope they do the right thing. Keep ya posted.

Responding to a question about the above post:
It has rust on nearly ever frame member I can see. I imagine the rust is propagating in the locations I cannot see as well, such as between the frame and floor decking. I’d post pics here if I could. A handful of screws were either not fulling installed or already backing out too.

Hoping to help others avoid a similar fate.

    + PROS: None
    - CONS: Rust Screws come loose Awful customer [dis]service Warranty Loopholes

    • Update on the rust situation situation with Wells Cargo and ACG: We sold the trailer at ~$1k loss, full disclosure to the buyer on the issue, and still no further response to us from ACG.

Purchased from Young Trailers in Kaysville Utah. They have been great. They just sell an inferior product.

My RUST was far worse than the previous pictures.

I just am so upset at the poor poor quality of the trailer. When it was delivered it had rust all over the undercarriage. the henges were all rusted. the floor actors were not bolted down. the back door after using it 5 tims to move my golf cart literally FELL OFF. It had to be welded back on.

Then yesterday I go out and open the rear door and the cables fall off the spring. How is that even possible. I use it to move a small golf cart and camping supplies. Open the doors like 10 times a year.

If this review is worth anything STAY CLEAR of their products. I have NEVER taken to publicly telling everyone I meet about a bad purchase. But this trailer has changed that. I make it an effort to tell everyone that looks at it how poor the quality was in the manufacture. Oh yes I still find screws that are not properly seated.

it appears my case is not unique.

+ PROS: It is a trailer. The only pro is (Service) and what keeps it from receiving a ZERO rating. They will fix and repair problems as often as you ahve the energy to haul it over to them.
    - CONS: Poor manufacturing process. NO Quality Control. Those tags on the young are a joke. Gate appears to be poorly attached. Fold down board for car hauler was not supported from below. first time used it tore off. BAD BAD Product!!!!!

  12. Ok, I thought I just left a review. Ill start again. I purchased a 24 Ft. Enclosed Wells with 3500 lb dual axels like three years ago. When i picked it up there was considerable rust underneath, on the front and on the rear henges. Within the first year the entire rear door fell off. One of the henges just broke free when I was backing out a golf cart. YEs you guessed it. It has carried nothing heavier than a golf cart.

Numerous bolts and screws had to be properly seated. Bolts holding floor anchors were not installed just the bolt through the floor. The rear fold down board for driving up on ramp fell off the very first time I used it. The part has been installed with wood screws holding it open from the top. There is NO Support under it. So it is useless. If it is used it tulles the wood screws out.

yesterday I opened the rear door and one of the cables just fell off. The left cable has never been attached properly. It does not fit in its tracks.

I am sick that I paid so much for what I thought was the best railer on the market. My mistake. Sad fact I paid $300 more than my in-laws for their of brand trailer/ We purchased on the same day I chose Wells for what I thought was a good reputation. They ahve Never had an issue.

The latest. The roof has started leaking. NO ONE HAS EVER Been on top of this trailer. (Oh, wait./ I had to go up and see if I could see where the water was coming from.

Wells can offer all the excuses they want. This trailer is a lemon but from reading other forums, The entire line may be that way.

Young Trailer in Layton Utah is where I purchased it. They ahve been willing to repair factory defects as often as I have the energy to haul it over and leave it. Not their service department for what the sales side chooses to sell. It makes me completely sick. I mean sick!!!!
