Great trailer so far, haven’t had it long.

+ PROS: Great price for all the features, looks to be a heck of a trailer. Good bunch of guys too, Mike is a character let me tell ya!
    - CONS: New company, which may not be a bad thing. Time will tell.

Deep South Tandem trailer purchased was 8.5 X 20 foot. Deep South trailers poorly constructed. They use inferior axles compared to most which use Dexter. Sold as car carrier but should have been sold as small car carrier because of weight limitations. Purchased at SCA sales in Monticello/Tallahassee area. Owner seemed reputable and had no issues with him for the most part. Although he should inspect his trailers more closely.

+ PROS: Less expensive than most.
    - CONS: Poor workmanship. The trailer I bought was sold as pressure treated floors and were not. They just used a green stain to make them look like PT. You can see the roller strokes on the floor and other obvious signs. Was sold as a car hauler 20X8.5. The large D-rings were not secured properly. No lock or flat washers on bolts only visible from underneath trailer. Wall screws missing and some screws missed wall frame. Wish I could upload the pictures.

    • Just bought a 5×8 ft enclosed trailer from Gilley in Newnan Ga. Wonderful gentleman who I hope to get to know. I own a 6×12 ft enclosed from a competing brand it’s been quite trouble free. This one looks identical just smaller. I’m sure it will be great and if not…Gilley is ancient so I should be able to take him down no problem!! Haha. I want to become a local dealer up here in Cobb county, Marietta. Hopefully yall would have me. Many thanks again Gilley!

  4. Deep South Trailer I purchased an 8.5 x 18 and found the same problems, very poorly constructed , is constantly breaking down, the company will not take any responsibility for selling an inferior trailer that I paid cash for, nor will they repair it . Save your self the grief, buy elsewhere.

We purchased our 12 ft v-nose July of 2018. The steel tub frame broke where trailer and tongue meet. it had been previously welded prior to out purchase. The trailer was new when we purchased it. The manufacture is refusing to reimburse for repairs.

The 6 x 12 I purchased got a crack in the vent cover in less than one year…it continued to crack and then blew off. The entire vent has to be replaced, but I wouldn’t purchase another one from Deep South due to the poor quality. The plastic used was paper thin and not meant to last. I will say that when one of the tail lights stopped working, they sent me a new one within the warranty period. So I will rate their service better than their product.

    + PROS: Inexpensive trailer
    - CONS: You get what you pay for
