Radial Tires

« Back to Glossary Index

A radial tire allows the sidewall and the tread to function as two independent features of the tire. This results in less sensitivity to heating compared to a bias tire. Radial tire sidewall flex is not transmitted to the tread. The footprint only lengthens. The radial tire allows more transfer of power to the ground.

Due to flexibility and strength of the tire, the tire absorbs shocks, impact and bumps. The result is a better ride and better operator comfort.
