Grommet

« Back to Glossary Index

A round doughnut looking rubber piece installed in metal holes of cargo trailers. Wires are pulled through the grommets to protect them from the sharp metal.

Not all cargo trailer brands use grommets. If you find that you have a wiring problem caused by rubbing against sharp edges, you may want to add them when you repair the problem.
